Urban Relocations offers storage and warehousing to cover exactly this kind of gap, whether for a household's furniture and boxes or a business's inventory and equipment.

Storage is used most often alongside a home or office relocation, but it also works as a standalone service — for example, storing seasonal items, furniture during renovation, or stock during a business transition. We support storage requirements across our branch locations, from Pune and Mumbai to Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and beyond.

How it works

• Discuss the volume and type of goods to be stored, and the expected duration
• Goods are packed appropriately before storage, using cartons, bubble wrap and stretch film as needed
• Items are moved into the storage facility and kept until you are ready to receive them
• On your instruction, goods are retrieved, loaded and delivered to the new address

A short storage period, typically used to cover a gap of a few days to a few weeks between vacating one place and moving into another, is common during home relocations. Longer-term storage is also possible for households or businesses that need it for months rather than weeks — it's best to discuss your expected timeline upfront so the arrangement and packing approach can be planned accordingly.

Before goods go into storage, it usually helps to do a final sort — items unlikely to be used again are better disposed of or donated rather than stored and paid for over time. For items that will sit in storage for a while, wooden crating for furniture and extra layers of protective wrap for electronics are generally worth the additional care, since they reduce the chances of dust or minor damage during the storage period.

We maintain an inventory list of what goes into storage so retrieval is straightforward, and you can request partial retrieval if you only need some items back before the rest. GST bills are provided for storage charges, useful for both personal record-keeping and business accounting.
